The meeting of the tomato paste industry committee of the Iran Canned Industries Syndicate was held with the approach of continuing the production process and maintaining the stability of the market and providing the needs of the poor and middle class of the country, keeping in mind the current conditions of the country.

Regarding the helicopter crash of the honorable President of the Republic and the accompanying delegation of committee members, while expressing regret and condolence for this loss and thanking the efforts and follow-ups of the late president, since this meeting was arranged in advance, and guests were also invited from the provinces of Tehran. , Shiraz, Karaj, Kermanshah and Hormozgan were invited; The meeting was held with the presence of the majority.

Some of the important issues raised in the meeting were as follows:

  • development of contract farming; Mr. Abdullah referring to the importance of contract farming; They envisioned a very bright future for the production and export of tomato paste, increasing employment and reducing wastage of tomatoes.
  • Mr. Tairian asked the Syndicate to take steps to facilitate exports and to provide services to exporters according to the current conditions by monitoring the global prices of rubber. including: solving the challenges of meeting foreign exchange obligations, export subsidies, etc.
  • Examining the amount of exports in 1402 according to the statistics available on the Iran Customs website; Exports to 69 countries, the top of which were Iraq and Russia, and exports from 59 points, the highest amount for Urmia province.
  • Monitoring the production and price of raw tomatoes in two time periods from May to late June and August to mid-November.
  • The effects of flood and weather conditions on the color of raw tomatoes and its direct effect on the price of raw tomatoes and the final product of canned tomato paste.
  • The unwillingness of producers to increase the price due to the loss of market share

In the end, Mr. Bakhtiari asked the secretariat to form a working group on contract cultivation and take necessary measures in this regard.
